Meet Our Pastor

Bishop Fred E. Hill has been laboring in The Lord’s Harvest for the past 30 years. He is a strong leader with many academic, community and ministerial credits to his name. He is an apostolic bishop who, after his initial call to the ministry, never ceased to effectively promote the cause of Christ within his sphere of influence.

Bishop Hill has served as senior pastor of Emmanuel Way of the Cross church, formerly of Sedley, VA., since 1983. He accepted the then struggling church and traveled 50 miles from his home 2-3 days a week to fulfill his pastoral responsibilities until the minsitry relocated to Chesapeake in 2004. He retired from his secular job in 2003 to devote more attention to this developing ministry.

Bishop Hill is a husband, father, author, preacher, teacher, counselor; but most of all, a believer in every sense of the word. In the spirit of love, he gives generously of his time to strengthen and advise leaders in the faith concerning ministry and administration. His greatest joy, aside from being saved, is knowing his First Lady (Mother Deborah hill) and children, are in full support of his ministry, and loves God as much as he does.

Bishop Hill was consecrated to the bishopric in January 2001 and has served in many organizational leadership roles including that of Vice Presiding Bishop of Kingdom Fellowship International headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland. The highest academic award conferred upon him to date is the honorary Doctor of Divinity from the Shiloh Theological Seminary in Stafford, Virginia.
